Reverse Chronic Disease and Unlock Your Infinite Healing Potential

Everyone wants to live longer. But it’s not enough to simply extend our years if those years are hindered by chronic disease or the symptoms of rapid aging. Supporting optimal health and longevity is necessary to dodge the spectrum of debilitating and chronic conditions that are age-related, like Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.

The truth is, today’s most serious health conditions are not actually part of “normal aging.” A large body of research shows that chronic,  inflammatory diseases are spurred by the overexpression of a key “alarm protein” produced by the body, called galectin-3—aka, the survival protein.

While you may have not heard of galectin-3, thousands of published scientific studies show that when it gets out of control, it can fuel numerous disease processes and shorten your life. There are over three thousand clinical and preclinical studies published showing galectin-3’s role in cancer, heart disease and kidney failure, obesity, neurodegenerative disease, autoimmunity,  arthritis, and much more. Despite this large and fast-growing body of data, most people—including the majority of conventional doctors—are not familiar with this single molecule. But as the research continues, more people are starting to pay attention to galectin-3, and successfully use proven galectin-3 blockers to treat and reverse a number of life-threatening diseases, including cancer.

The Survival Protein – What Fuels Inflammation

When your body senses a threat, it goes into survival mode. As part of this defense response, galectin-3 activated as a key repair molecule to help you stay alive. Galectin-3 is the master alarm protein that triggers a cascade of inflammatory cytokine signals to respond to whatever threat you’re facing.

Unfortunately, the body can have a hard time turning off the galectin-3 alarm. It continues fueling inflammation after the threat has passed, and ends up causing premature aging and chronic disease.

This is the essence of the survival paradox—the topic of my new book.  While designed to keep you alive, your body’s survival response can end up doing just the opposite—unless you hack this alarm system and make it work for you, rather than against you. And with galectin-3 blockers and other methods to quiet your internal alarm system, you can.

The Health Problems of Survival Mode

Staying stuck in the stress of survival mode can have serious impacts on your body—all the way down to the cellular level. Your survival response triggers production of galectin-3, which can stay active long after the threat has passed. Overactive galectin-3 fuels inflammation and fibrosis (uncontrolled scarring and hardening of tissues and organs) throughout the body, which can drive numerous disease processes. Bacteria and other pathogens, and even cancerous tumors, can also hijack galectin-3 and use it for their own survival.1

Controlling overactive galectin-3 is the number one key to overcoming the survival paradox.

Here are just some of the ways research shows that too much galectin-3 can derail your health and shorten your life:

  • Cause neurological dysfunction and reduce brain power—by causing neuroinflammation and damage
  • Cause organ failure—by fueling uncontrolled inflammation and scarring (fibrosis) in vital organs including your heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, and more
  • Fuel cancer growth and metastasis—by allowing cancer cells to stick together, creating blood vessel supply to feed the tumor, metastasize, and evade the immune system.
  • Cause metabolic diseasesby fueling inflammation and free radical damage, and contributing to glucose imbalance and insulin resistance
  • Damage immune function—by inhibiting immune surveillance against cancer and other pathogens, and fueling inflammatory immune overreactions like autoimmune flare-ups and cytokine storms.
  • Speed up aging—by fueling inflammatory conditions and oxidative damage to cells, tissues and organs.

Lucikly, extensive published data shows that managing galectin-3 with proven galectin-3 inhibitors can successfully halt and reverse the deadly progression of uncontrolled disease processes and inflammation. Getting the upper hand on galectin-3 can allow your body to use your innate survival responses in a healthy way, and allow it to calm down when you don’t need it.

Biohacking Your Survival Response

We’ve all been there. Being stuck in survival mode means you’re experiencing a prolonged stress state—and your body is being flooded with stress hormones and other inflammatory compounds designed to support your innate fight or flight system.

Slowing down, deep breathing, and practicing exercises that help to relax your mind and body is a start. But how do you relax when you’re facing an ongoing threat—like a chronic, life-threatening disease? You can start small, with simple practices, like regular meditation that’s shown to help reduce levels of galectin-3 quickly, and quiet your alarm system.

Importantly, you can also block excess galectin-3 using the proven galectin-3 blocker, modified citrus pectin (MCP). This extensively researched natural galectin-3 inhibitor can help prevent and reverse the inflammatory impacts of unhealthy galectin-3 in your body, protecting your health on the cellular level.3

Combined with healthy stress relief practices, MCP can  help to prevent the damage of your inflammatory survival responses and reduce the unhealthy expression of galectin-3 long-term.

This type of comprehensive holistic approach can help you master your survival response system, and unlock your innate healing abilities. By addressing galectin-3 from different angles, you can build a solid foundation to support long-term health and healing, and reverse deadly disease processes.

You can learn more about galectin-3 and how to address it for optimal health, in my new bestselling book The Survival ParadoxMore than a self-help guide, this book offers information and inspiration to create your own path to health and healing—and includes strategies and protocols to address key areas of health and conditions that are impacted by an overactive survival drive.

The truth is, your body has an innate ability to heal itself and thrive—as long as your survival drive doesn’t stand in the way.
